**Probability** is the study of the chances a particular event has, as any event happening has certain outcomes. So the measure of probability ranges from ‘0’ (event not happening-**0%chance**) to ‘1’ (event happening for sure-**100%chance**).

**Example:**

**Example: **A dice is rolled in a game. Probability of getting the number ‘3’ is?

** Total outcomes for dice=6**

Getting ‘3’ is like 1/6 chance.

** P(****3)=1/6**

**Example: **In a bag, there are 4 oranges, 5 apples and 6 plums. Probability of picking an orange is?

Total outcomes from the bag **->** **4+5+6=15**

Number of oranges=4 **->** **P(orange) = 4/15**

**Statistics **is the study of organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data collected and using this information in order to carry out surveys and experiments.

**Mean, median and mode** are used to find average of the information

**Example: **Find mean, median, mode for the following:

2,3,4,6,3,6,2,7,3

** Mean**=(2+3+4+6+3+6+2+7+3)/9)**=4**

** Median**: First write in order** ->** 2,2,3,3,**3**,4,6,6,7

** Median-> ****3**

** Mode -> ****3**(most repeated number!)
